I have a performing arts background but have been doing web development concurrently--which led me to enroll in my current library sciences graduate program. Since getting into the coursework, I love the concepts surrounding linked data, big data, and new ways to disperse humanities content through many internet enabled platforms. Whether gaining knowledge happens during engagement and interactivity, or the periods inbetween when we think introspectively, technology tools have the potential to be disruptive and propel the humanities even more forward.
I'm between an intermediate and advanced in the technology level. I'm never sure if I'm standing still in a river current, drifting with the water, or moving forward, considering how fast technology changes.
